Ramadan Table Event

Saturday, April 15th from 3:30-6:00 p.m.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, refraining from eating, drinking, smoking, and engaging in any sexual activity. After sunset, Muslims break their fast with a meal called iftar, which typically includes dates, water, and other traditional foods such as soup, samosas, and kebabs. It is a time of self-discipline, generosity, and charity, with many Muslims donating money and food to those in need. Throughout the month, Muslims also wake up early before dawn to have a pre-fast meal known as suhoor, which provides energy and nourishment for the day ahead. The month of Ramadan is considered a time for spiritual rejuvenation, forgiveness, and a deepening of one's relationship with God. The end of Ramadan is celebrated with Eid al-Fitr, a joyous festival that marks the end of the month-long fast.
