City Council Approves Downtown Civic Campus Financing

At the September 15 City Council meeting, Council held a public hearing and second reading on an ordinance authorizing lease purchase financing for the Downtown Civic Campus.

City Council voted 4-3 to approve the ordinance. The approval authorizes the City to issue up to $95 million in Certificates of Participation (COPs) to finance the project. Estimated annual lease payments range from $4.4 million to $8.4 million, with payments beginning in 2027 and continuing through 2046.
