Preliminary Park Feedback Is In!

New Community Park and Dog Park Survey Results
Thank you to the 280 residents who shared their input on Greeley’s future 27-acre community park and dog park. The survey is closed for input. These responses are helping shape a space that reflects what our community wants most.
What Residents Want to Do at the New Park
Participants shared the activities they would use the park for (could select more than one option). The most-selected options were:
- Walking or running – 221 responses
- Relaxing or enjoying nature – 198 responses
- Dog walking – 189 responses
- Meeting with family or friends – 154 responses
- Playing with children – 134 responses
- Playing sports – 100 responses
- Biking – 94 responses
A small number of residents (15) suggested additional “other” activities but didn't elaborate.
How Often People Expect to Visit
Most respondents said they would visit the park frequently, showing strong community interest and demand for high-quality outdoor spaces.
What’s Next
Once a design team is under contract with the City of Greeley, all feedback will be reviewed to inform the design of park features, layout, and amenities. The Parks team will select a design partner and submit their request to enter into a professional partnership to Greeley City Council for approval.
Currently, we do not have design concepts to share; however, we will use this preliminary feedback to kick off the initial design process. More opportunities to review concepts and help refine the design will be available in 2026.
Follow this project and the City’s Facebook page for updates and upcoming engagement opportunities.
