Trails Master Plan Adopted by Council

19 Mar 2025

On March 4, 2025, Greeley City Council voted unanimously to adopt the Trails Master Plan update. This plan provides a vision for building new trails in Greeley, for the next ten years and beyond. Trail corridors are prioritized into three categories:

  1. Priority 1 trails are the top priority and the City intends to build them in the next 10 years

  1. Priority 2 trails are the medium priority and the City intends to build them in the next 10-20 years

  1. Priority 3 trails are long-range and will likely be incorporated into future updates of the Trails Master Plan

An executive summary of the plan can be viewed on Speak Up Greeley, under Documents. The implementation process is outlined at the end of the executive summary. Implementation steps the City will follow include identifying funding sources, conducting feasibility studies and outreach, designing and constructing trail sections.

Thank you to everyone who made this plan possible, including Logan Simpson, the hundreds of people who provided input throughout the process, and the members of the Technical Advisory Committee.
