How does it work?

    1. Download the Spin app on your smartphone. No smartphone? Check out Spin Access. Already have Lyft or Bird downloaded? You can rent a Spin device through these apps, too.
    2. Enter your payment information.
    3. Use the map in the app to find a Spin e-bike or e-scooter near you.
    4. Follow the instructions in the app to start your ride and end your ride.

If you had a problem during your ride, note the vehicle number and report it in the app. Spin will refund charges incurred incorrectly and may reward you with ride credits for reporting problems.

Pro Tip: Spin offers tutorial videos to help riders feel comfortable on their devices.

    Where can I ride?

The Shared Micromobility Pilot Area is east of 35th Avenue, north of US-34, west of the Union Pacific Railway, and south of 4th/5th Street except between 11th and 14th Avenues, which extend north to A Street.

Please see the Pilot Zone map for additional details.

What are the rules and speed limits?

Be courteous! Streets are shared spaces, and it is the responsibility of us all to be safe and respectful as we travel. Please refer to the rules outlined in the Spin app and find parking requirements on our FAQ page.

We recommend that devices are ridden in bike lanes when available and safe. If you must ride on the sidewalk, stay aware of others on the sidewalk. Verbal cues of passing are required in Colorado. See the CDOT Bicycle Manual for more information regarding the rules of the road for micromobility riders.

Spin e-bikes are limited to 20 mph whereas Spin e-scooters are limited to 15 mph. Areas with safety concerns or with high numbers of pedestrians may be “slow down zones” with vehicle speeds limited to 8-10 mph as necessary or even “no ride zones” when electric-assist devices are considered unsafe.

Spin e-bikes and e-scooters are not allowed on Greeley city buses. Passengers can bring personal scooters onboard buses if the scooter can be folded per GET Policies.

How do I request removal of an e-bike or e-scooter, report incorrectly parked vehicles or report other issues?

    • Report a problem with an e-bike or e-scooter.
    • Report an incident.
    • Request information about Spin Access.
    • Address all customer service issues related to Spin vehicles.

Email is the best form of contact for local Spin staff. Alternatively, contact Spin customer service at 1-888-249-9698.

How should I park my device when I am finished?

    1. Devices parked on sidewalks cannot block the flow of traffic or ADA compliance areas.
    2. Devices should not be parked within 10 feet of a crosswalk or curb ramp.
    3. Devices shall not block bus loading areas in compliance with the ADA and shall not prevent bus operations from deploying ramps.
    4. Devices shall not be parked on private property unless there is a dedicated parking area such as a bicycle rack or marked bike/scooter parking areas.
    5. Preferable parking areas include the “street furniture zone” (i.e. places on wide sidewalks where a bench may be located) or in designated bike/scooter parking areas.
    6. Areas noted as “no parking zones” shall not be parked in or may have required designated parking areas as noted by the Spin App.

    What is micromobility/shared-use micromobility?

Micromobility refers to small, low-speed human- or electric-powered devices. Today, micromobility is most common in the form of bicycles, electric-assist bicycles (e-bikes), and electric scooters.

Greeley's micromobility pilot specifically focuses on shared micromobility business providers rather than privately-owned micromobility devices. Shared (or shared-use) micromobility refers to a transportation system that provides either dockless or docked devices for short-term rentals, which can be used for trips in public rights-of-way or other permitted areas. Those devices remain in public even when not being rented/used.

Shared micromobility is part of a shared fleet using an app to locate, reserve, check out and process payment for the use of those devices.
