To ensure Lincoln Park complements the future vision for Greeley’s Downtown Civic Campus, we’re hitting pause on construction. This short delay allows us to better align plans and maximize community impact. Thank you for your patience and continued support!

The community engagement phase of the Reimagine Lincoln Park project has concluded. Visit the "news feed" and "key dates" sections of this project page to stay up to date with the next steps.

Lincoln Park, a historic 5.7-acre hub in the heart of downtown Greeley, is poised for a transformative redesign. For over 150 years, this beloved plaza has been a central gathering space for signature events. It is surrounded by a vibrant mix of local businesses and public buildings.

Community engagement has been central to the redesign planning process. Input has been collected through surveys, stakeholder meetings and public events. Public feedback will directly influence the final design.

Our hope is that the refreshed Lincoln Common space will catalyze community activation. Diverse programming and enhanced amenities will draw visitors year-round. When implemented, the final design will transform this space to reflect our community’s spirit and aspirations. A beloved, historic hub that continues to create memories and strengthen our community.

Lincoln Park's Rich Heritage

Nestled at the heart of Greeley, Lincoln Park has been a community cornerstone since 1870. The plaza reflected the belief that public spaces should be central to community life. The park has evolved alongside the city, witnessing the rise of the surrounding business district by 1882. For over a century, Lincoln Park has been a symbol for local pride and togetherness. Concerts, festivals and joyful community get-togethers have all taken place within the park.

In 1984, the park's importance was reinforced. A substantial investment was made in downtown rejuvenation and Lincoln Park was highlighted as an indispensable component of Greeley's urban landscape. This dedication to the park continued with the creation of the Lincoln Park Master Plan in 1991. The park was also recognized as a site of historical significance in 1996.

Lincoln Park today stands as a tribute to Greeley's dedication to honoring its past while looking to the future. Join us in continuing this legacy, shaping a space that celebrates our shared history and new possibilities.
