Why is this park getting a new playground?

The City of Greeley budgets for regular upgrades to aging amenities in our neighborhood parks. The upgrades planned for the Twin Rivers Community Park playground will make users' park experiences more enjoyable. The existing playground equipment and safety surfacing will be removed, new playground equipment will be installed, and the footprint will be larger.

Is the playground footprint getting larger?

Yes - the playground footprint will expand. Including equipment for all age ranges and abilities is a priority with every playground renovation. More space is necessary to accommodate new equipment's fall zones and spacing requirements.

Will the rest of Twin Rivers complex remain open?

Yes. Construction will be limited to the playground area. Other sidewalks, paths, and open spaces will not be affected.

    How long will construction last?

While the installation and visible construction go quickly, the overall process takes a lot of time to make this a successful project. The timeline below is a general outline of project milestones.

    May 2025: Community Feedback Survey

Summer - Winter 2025: Contracting and design

    Spring 2026: Construction

    Late spring 2026: Park Opening

Will any streets be closed during construction?

No, closing nearby streets is not necessary for this project.
