Oversight Committee Presents Findings and Recommendations to Council
At the June 9 Council Work Session, Greeley City Council received the first formal recommendation from the West Greeley Citizen Oversight Committee.
After six weeks of reviewing project information, asking questions and evaluating potential paths forward, the committee recommended that the City continue exploring a financial partner that could help secure more favorable interest rates for the project. The committee also recommended pausing its work until additional information becomes available.
Committee members requested updated project costs, economic development projections, and potential financing details before continuing discussions. If a financing partner is identified, the committee is expected to reconvene to review the information and continue its evaluation of potential next steps.
