16th Street Enhancement Project - 12/8 Update

With the reopening of eastbound and westbound travel on 16th Street, the project is taking shape. As work shifts from heavy construction to finishing touches, this will be our final weekly update for 2025. The next update will be shared in January, when new corridor lighting and some public art installations are placed.

NOTE: Access at the south side of 10th Avenue and 16th Street remains temporarily closed until soil grading and sidewalk construction are completed.

Work Complete

  • 16th Street is open to both eastbound and westbound traffic

  • Curb and gutter placement from 9th to 10th Avenue

  • Sidewalk pours from 8th Avenue to 11th Avenue

  • Concrete pavement pours between 9th and 10th Avenue

  • Temporary road striping throughout the corridor

  • Paver installation

Upcoming Work

  • Concrete seat wall and masonry wall construction

  • Concrete sidewalk pours at the 16th Street and 10th Avenue roundabout

  • Topsoil installation

Landscaping and remaining art installations are scheduled for the spring when weather permits.
