16th Street Enhancement Project Update - 11/10

Progress continues along the south side of 16th Street as crews make visible improvements that bring the corridor closer to completion. Installation of bike racks is now underway. Concrete paving and drainage upgrades are also progressing, with crews continuing Saturday work to keep the project moving forward.

Work Complete

  • Travel remains open to westbound traffic only. Traffic signals have been removed or bagged, and the intersections are now partial roundabouts.

  • Trench drain installation between 10th and 11th Avenue.

Work Ongoing

  • Curb & gutter placement from 9th to 11th Avenue

  • Sidewalk pours from 9th to 10th Avenue

  • Concrete pavement pours at 9th Avenue and 16th Street

  • Concrete pavement pours between 10th and 11th Avenue

  • Bike rack installations are in progress throughout the corridor

Upcoming Work

  • Trench drain installation between 9th and 10th Avenue

  • Curb & gutter pours between 9th and 10th Avenue

  • Concrete pavement pours between 9th and 10th Avenue

The north side of the street was completed on time at the end of August. Construction on the south side of 16th Street is now 28% complete. Final landscaping, lighting and public art will be added in Spring 2026, once weather and planting conditions allow.
