16th Street Update Early March 2026

Early March 2026 Update

The 16th Street Corridor Enhancement Project continues to progress steadily with Phase 2 holding at 75% completion. With both eastbound and westbound traffic open on 16th Street, crews are focused on finishing surface features such as brick pavers and striping, along with vertical elements including seat walls and light poles. Work activities continue to be carefully sequenced to balance winter weather constraints while keeping the project aligned with the overall construction schedule.

Important Notice:

Eastbound and westbound lanes of 16th Street will be closed for one day each, on separate days, for light pole installation. Roadway closures will be announced in advance as soon as delivery dates are confirmed. Please plan accordingly and watch for notifications.

Looking Ahead

Some elements of Phase 1, including landscaping, lighting, and art installations, will be completed as part of Phase 2 when weather permits in the spring. The project remains on schedule and within authorized funding. The project team continues to work diligently to complete the enhancement work while minimizing impacts to the community.

Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work to complete this important enhancement project for the Greeley community.
