16th Street Update Mid-February
Mid-February 2026 Update
The 16th Street Corridor Enhancement Project continues to progress steadily, with Phase 2 holding at 75% completion. With both eastbound and westbound traffic open on 16th Street, crews are focused on finishing surface features, such as brick pavers and striping, as well as vertical elements, including seat walls and light poles. Work activities are being carefully sequenced to balance winter weather constraints while keeping the project aligned with the overall construction schedule.

16th Street Alley Project
A complementary project is underway to enhance parking and access along the 16th Street corridor. Significant progress has been made with the box culvert over Ditch #3 successfully poured and crews now working on backfill, compaction, and grouted rip rap. Work includes:
- Construction of a cast-in-place culvert over Ditch #3 (completed)
- North alley concrete paving
- South alley asphalt work
- Paving of the alleyway and south parking lots
Once complete, this project will open additional parking spaces for residents and patrons along the 16th Street corridor.
Looking Ahead
Some elements of Phase 1, including landscaping, lighting, and art installations, will be completed as part of Phase 2 when weather permits in the spring. The project team continues to work diligently to complete the enhancement work while minimizing impacts on the community.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work to complete this important enhancement project for the Greeley community.
