Late April 16th Street Enhancement Update
Phase 2 of the 16th Street Corridor Enhancement Project is now 90% complete! Crews are in the home stretch, wrapping up masonry work, plantings, and irrigation. 16th Street remains open in both directions.
⚠ Upcoming Lane Closures — Please Plan Ahead
Temporary one-day lane closures are coming to 16th Street for sculpture installation. Eastbound and westbound lanes will each be closed on separate days. Specific dates will be announced in advance once confirmed — check back here or subscribe to email updates using the button on this page.

- 16th Street open in both directions
- Paver installation
- Bus shelter installation
- Sculpture foundations
- Light pole installation
- Sign installation
- Permanent striping (pavement markings to help navigate traffic)
- Trash receptacles
- Asphalt patching
- Topsoil and ground cover installation throughout the corridor
