Conceptual work on the 9th and 10th Street Corridor has been completed, which resulted in the selection of a preferred concept for the project. Based on your feedback, we're prioritizing issues related to speed, multimodal travel options, safety, park/open space, lighting, and business access. We are now ready to carry that concept forward to preliminary design.
On March 18, the City of Greeley issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) to connect with a team that will lead the preliminary design of the project. We expect to select a consultant later this spring. With their help, we will continue to involve you, our community members, in the design process, so stay tuned on this page for continued engagement opportunities!
Currently, we anticipate construction to kick off in 2026.

In Phase One we wanted to understand the community’s concerns, needs, and vision.
How we heard from you
In the last few months, we reached out to the community through a number of different methods:
- Door-to-door outreach
- Local events
- Arts Picnic
- Greeley Farmers’ Market
- Friday Fest
- OktoBrewfest
- Online through Speak Up Greeley
This outreach let staff build a personal connection with residents and businesses located in the project area and explain the project’s purpose, schedule, and how to stay involved.
The door-to-door outreach was vital. Over four days, staff knocked on more than 300 doors and spoke to more than 120 community members—leaving information about the project for the rest. In that process, staff managed to talk in person with more than 60 percent of business owners along the corridor.
What we heard
Throughout phase one several themes emerged as topics of interest including:
- Sidewalk and crosswalks improvements
- Traffic and speeding concerns
- Parking availability and safety
- Flooding and drainage
- Bike and transit facilities and consideration
- Beautification and lighting
- Homelessness
- Crime and security

What comes next
Now the project moves into Phase Two and officials look for input from the whole community on this important corridor and how its future should look.
Input from the first two phases of the project will help create different designs and ideas for the corridor—and officials will present them to the community for feedback in phase three.
