Park Feedback Is In! Brentwood Is In For An Epic Redesign

The Brentwood Park playground redesign is one step closer to becoming reality, thanks to input from the community and students at Brentwood Middle School.
From September 20 to October 19, residents shared their feedback through an online survey. Most respondents emphasized the importance of shade, accessibility and play equipment for a range of ages.
Bentwood Survey Summary
At Brentwood Middle School, students were invited to view four playground design boards and vote for their favorite by placing a dot sticker on the design they liked best. The concepts were given nicknames to help students imagine the play experience. Each concept featured the same central play tower with different combinations of climbers, spinners, swings and obstacle courses. View the concepts below:
The design concepts and sticker votes are saved to the documents section of the project page. You can see what the students viewed to make their selection.
"Epic" Design Option is Clear Winner
After hundreds of sticker votes, "Epic" came out on top as the students' favorite playground choice. The winning concept includes: a large play tower, a pyramid net climber, an obstacle course, swings, a spinner and a RoxAll seesaw. Together, these features offer a mix of challenges, movement and social play opportunities suitable for all ages.
The design team is now refining the concept by incorporating both student and community feedback before finalizing the playground plan later this year. We'll share an update on the final design once it's complete!
