Imagine the Transformation

After five decades of service, the Brentwood Park (2813 26th Street, Greeley) playground is ready for a transformation! It's time to reimagine a vibrant and accessible space for our Brentwood students and neighborhood. Together, we can create a place where imagination, play and community come to life.

The community is shaping the design. Students will help choose the equipment they want, and neighbors will help plan a space that works for everyone. Together, we’ll build a playground the whole community can enjoy, feel proud of and take care of.

Why This Project Matters

While the current playground has served us well for over 50 years, it has outdated equipment and walkways. It’s time for a change that reflects our community's needs and standards. Students and kids avoid the playground because of old, unsafe equipment and uninteresting play equipment for different ages. This project will address many issues, including replacing the surface and adding new equipment.

Project Goals

Imagine a playground where every child can play, explore and make lasting memories. This is the future we envision for Brentwood Park’s playground. We have set the following goals to keep the project focused:

  • Community Collaboration: Our students and community voices matter, and we can create a playground that reflects our vision.

  • Accessibility for All: Create a playground that serves all students by replacing concrete curb barriers with accessible pathways for students to walk or roll their way to the playground.

  • Safe and Modern Play Area: Transform the space into a modern outdoor play area. With colorful, durable play equipment for various age groups and different elements to engage different types of play.

How Can You Get Involved?

Community input is essential to creating parks that meet our residents' needs. Take the quick survey below and let the project team know what you want to see in the design.

Project Funding

The City of Greeley saved almost $100,000 on new playground equipment through GameTime’s 2025 Grant Program. This big discount lets us increase the project budget and add fun play structures. GameTime picked Brentwood playground for this special deal because it’s the main playground for middle school students and families in the area.
