New Concept Plan for Calabaza Park

A new concept plan for Calabaza Park centers on a spacious great lawn surrounded by a variety of activity zones designed to encourage play, recreation, gathering, and relaxation. The North Activity Node will feature a large hoop swing designed to appeal to teens and provide a welcoming place to hang out and socialize. Pickleball and basketball courts will offer opportunities for active movement, friendly competition, and recreation for all ages.

The playground will provide a range of multi-age play experiences, including a large play structure, zipline, swings, small carousel, and hill slide. Several picnic shelters will accommodate both small gatherings and larger group events, while water misters and generous tree canopies will provide shade and cooling on hot summer days.

A portable restroom will be located on the south side of the park for convenient access. A couple of swinging benches will offer playful and comfortable places to rest, relax, and enjoy the activity around them.
