Reporting Property Damage

If you believe construction activity caused damage to your property, please report it to the City as soon as soon as you can. Prompt reporting is important because it allows City staff and the contractor to inspect the issue, document conditions, and determine next steps. If repairs are made before the damage is reported and reviewed, it may limit the City’s or contractor’s ability to verify the claim.

If you notice possible damage:

• Report it right away
• Take photos, if possible
• Avoid making permanent repairs before the issue is reviewed, unless there is an immediate safety concern

Please note that repair or reimbursement requests may be denied if the City and contractor were not given the opportunity to inspect the reported damage before repairs were completed.
