100 Attend West Area Open House

Thank you to everyone who attended the West Area Plan open house this week. With around 100 people in attendance, we completely filled the room, and we are grateful for the strong community interest and thoughtful participation.
We heard yet another engaging and informative presentation from Jeff Speck and the Able City team! Two important draft planning documents were presented:
These drafts represent early concepts and ideas. The plan is still in its beginning stages, and resident feedback is essential.
The West Area Plan is not a finalized development proposal and does not approve any specific housing, business, or infrastructure projects. Instead, it serves as a long-range planning tool to help the City and community:
- Better understand current conditions and challenges
- Explore potential future land uses, transportation needs, and community amenities
- Identify ways to preserve what residents value while preparing for long-term change
- Grow intentionally while respecting the character and priorities of western Greeley
No decisions will be made without public input. This was one of many opportunities for the community to share ideas, ask questions, and raise concerns.
📋 Please review the draft documents and take the community survey:

(We would love to hear your feedback.)
🎥 Stay tuned: A video recap of the presentation will be released for anyone who was unable to attend.
📅 Additional public meetings and updates will be posted on this project page, so be sure to check back often.
We know growth is complex. That is why we are committed to listening and sharing clear information. Together, we can shape a future for western Greeley. One that reflects community values and long-term vision.
