Greeley’s Unique Qualities Stressed in Look to Future
“Residents who want to help plan for future city growth should consider what makes the city unique,” said Rachel Flynn, Greeley’s deputy city manager for intentional growth and strategic infrastructure. That message was central to the July 9 community visioning event for the West Greeley Subarea Plan, where residents joined city staff and planning experts to help shape a thoughtful path forward.
The evening featured a keynote from Jeff Speck—nationally recognized urban planner and author of Walkable City—who shared insights on how walkability, transportation, and housing design can drive long-term livability and economic success. Hosted at the Aims Welcome Center, the event marked the official kickoff of the subarea planning process for western Greeley.
