Good planning doesn't stop after a plan is adopted. The City of Greeley periodically updates its Development Code to ensure regulations remain aligned with adopted plans, community priorities, and current best practices.

Each update focuses on one or more chapters of the Development Code. Proposed changes may include development standards, zoning regulations, subdivision requirements, parking, landscaping, signage, special districts, or other provisions within the code.

This page serves as the hub for current development code update projects. Each project includes information about the proposed changes, opportunities to learn more, and ways to provide feedback.

Why are development code updates needed?

Periodic updates help the City:

  • Support responsible and sustainable growth.
  • Improve clarity and consistency within the code.
  • Address changing community needs and development trends.
  • Implement City Council priorities and adopted plans.
