Help Design the New Playground at Pheasant Run Park
Pheasant Run Park is a neighborhood park that offers a mix of open space, play, and quiet places to relax. Located near 4th Street and 46th Avenue, the park features a dirt baseball diamond.
At the corner of 4th Street and 47th Avenue, visitors are welcomed by one of many public art pieces around Greeley. The piece titled “Bearly Serious” is a sitting bronze bear by artist Dawn Weimer (external link). Just across the street, residents can also access Epple Park and its disc golf course, expanding recreational options in the area.
The park includes a restroom building, a shaded shelter, and benches placed around the perimeter, making it a comfortable place to spend time outdoors. Tall, established trees are scattered throughout the green space, providing cooling shade.
Building on these existing amenities and the ways neighbors use this park today, a new playground will ensure it continues to meet the community's needs now and into the future.
Why Is This Playground Being Replaced?
The playground at Pheasant Run Park has been enjoyed by the community for many years. Over time, the equipment has worn down and no longer meets today’s safety standards.
Greeley’s Parks team works with independent safety inspectors to regularly check playground equipment and surfacing. When a playground reaches this stage, the equipment is removed to keep park users safe and to make room for a future playground.
Replacing older playgrounds is part of Greeley’s commitment to safety and to investing in modern play spaces for our community.
